Nautilus Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Nautilus, an archive, map and investigation tool for maritime and historical work.
1. Permitted use
You must use Nautilus lawfully and responsibly, respecting cultural heritage, maritime rules, underwater archaeology, third-party rights and personal safety.
2. Not a navigation or safety tool
Nautilus does not replace official nautical charts, emergency services, navigation equipment, professional advice, diving permits or archaeological authorisations.
3. Wrecks, research and heritage
The app can help organise hypotheses, sources and search zones. It does not authorise recovery, extraction, looting, intervention or access to protected remains.
4. Accuracy
Information may be wrong, incomplete or dependent on external sources. Always validate data with primary sources and professional judgement.
5. Accounts and user content
You are responsible for your credentials and saved information. You keep your rights over notes, images and files, and authorise us to store and process them to provide the service.
6. External sources
Nautilus may link to or query external sources. We do not control their availability, licences or accuracy.
7. Limitation of liability
The app is provided as a support tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for operational decisions, damages, losses, legal breaches or risks derived from use of the displayed information.
